Co-owner and Broker for Lakewood Realty, Ted maintains a high level of dedication to, and passion for client service. Originally from Windsor, Ted graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Stout in Menomonie with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management. He uniquely brings over a decade of experience in service and technical industries to Lakewood Realty from his previous positions, such as: sales manager for Esker Software in Madison; sports/hospitality sales manager for a company in Dallas, Texas; and commodity food trader for a start-up .com in Atlanta, Georgia.

After finding a true zest and aptitude for Real estate and earning his Realtors License in 2003, Ted has fine-tuned a broad set of skills and geared them specifically toward helping clients buy, sell or lease real estate in Madison and the greater area.

As part of his dedication to his clients, Ted stays current on the latest laws affecting home ownership from the local to national level. He is a member of the Realtors Association of South Central Wisconsin (RASCW) and the Commercial Brokers Group. For RASCW, Ted has served as the 2009 President and previously sat on its 2005 and 2006 Professional Standards Committee and Board of Directors from 2006 thru 2009. Currently Ted is Chair of the Public Relations Committee for the Association.  Ted also remains active in his community by serving on Maple Bluff’s Public Works Committee and is active in the East Madison/Monona Rotary.

To balance work and life, Ted enjoys entertaining family and friends with pool-side barbecues at his and wife Tammy’s Maple Bluff home; biking with their three children through the neighborhood (or animal spotting at Henry Vilas Zoo); perfecting his golf game; and possibly getting away for a weekend of fishing, bird hunting or camping in Wisconsin’s wilderness.

When back working with clients, however, Ted believes in “taking the process of helping clients find or sell a property personally, but with their needs first.” For instance, says Ted, “I will show a client an additional ten properties just to make sure they know they have found the perfect one for their needs and lifestyle.” With Ted’s signature hands-on approach, you can be sure of finding success in your next real estate venture.
