| In
January there is WINTERFEST with weekend
long activities for the whole family including a Medallion hunt, a Chili
cook-off, snow sculpting contests, many other games, a bonfire at the beach
and culminating with a dinner and dancing at the Country Club.
The EASTER EGG EGGSTAVAGANZA takes place in March or April and involves an Egg Hunt, games and a party at the Village Hall. April and May bring the BIKE SAFETY RODEO, the EARTH DAY PICNIC and activities and the FIREFIGHTER'S BALL which is a benefit for the firefighters. In June there is the FATHER'S DAY PARADE which is a parade down the main street ending with a party at the beach. A BOCCE BALL TOURNAMENT and beach bash is organized every year for the adult residents of the community. Also in June is the ANNUAL MAPLE BLUFF GARAGE SALE. There are many activities throughout the rest of the summer (June-August) like CAMP GOTTA-WANNA-BE that is a tuition based education and recreation program for kids ages 3 to 7 and is held at the Firemen's Park in the Village. Along with many supervised art and other activities at the beach house for kids in 2nd through 6th grade. All summer long there are free CONCERTS at Johnson Park and MOVIE NIGHT at the Beach. Plus sports programs at the Country Club like Golf Clinics, Tennis, Swim and Dive Teams for a variety of ages. Every July there is a big 4TH OF JULY CELEBRATION with a parade, safety displays, games and refreshments at Johnson's Park, 5K walk/run/rollerblade and ending in a bang with our own fireworks display at dusk. Ending the year in November and December with a HOLIDAY TREE LIGHTING and other activities. |
